Shepherd Fairey for Obey Clothing

July 9th, 2009 by Jon

Another one of our Obey jobs got done yesterday on some adhesive back vinyl. The prints were made by our Hp Designjet L65500 Printer. Even though these prints were not as big as some of our jobs the detail came out looking like a screen printing job. It is amazing what sort of clarity we can always expect now from our new HP.obey-1.jpgobey-2.jpgobey-3.jpg

Obey Lance Follow-Up

April 27th, 2009 by Jon

A new set of prints just came off the press and out of the cutting room utilizing the same artwork we received a little while ago for a large banner by Shepard Fairey. The quality on these Lance Armstrong wood prints came out exceptionally good on the granulated texture of the material. Flatbed prints always turn out interesting since the material that can be printed on is so diverse and this job was no exception.

Obey Lance

April 7th, 2009 by Jon

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to print an abnormally large banner for the side of Shepard Fairey’s studio building located in Los Angeles, CA. The banner was a triptych piece highlighting Lance Armstrong in three different portrait poses that were custom created by Shepard himself in his usual style of art. The completed banner consisted of three separate banner prints being printed and then seemed together to create one rather large final product. Check out the images below to see some details of the art and the process it took to finish the project.

On The Campaign Trail

October 29th, 2008 by Jon

It seems like everywhere you look Shepard Fairey’s famous Obama portrait is staring you right back in the face. We here at Monster Media are proud to print all of Obey’s pop and a lot of that lately has been different renditions of that well known piece of artwork that Shepard put together so well. Recently a large order of variously sized duratrans prints passed through our walls on the way to store walls and windows of several ober clothing distributors. The artwork came out perfect so I grabbed some pictres of a few of the prints before they left in boxes.
