Prolong Super Lubricants Truck & Trailer

August 17th, 2009 by Jon

One of our newest clients, Prolong Super Lubricants, recently asked us to wrap their pickup truck and featherlite trailer with artwork they had created themselves. All of us, including the client, were impressed at how the colors came out, especially after seeing how it all looked installed on the vehicles. Everything was printed on our HP Designjet 65500 grand format digital printer. The thing never disappoints, expecially when we are tasked with printing vibrant colors that are usually a challenge for most digital printers, especially due to working in CMYK format.prolong-6.jpgprolong-7.jpgprolong-8.jpgprolong-9.jpgprolong-10.jpg

Shepard Fairey & MoveOn

August 4th, 2009 by Jon

Shepard Fairey recently teamed up with MoveOn in their “Power Up America” campaign and created an original art piece involving windmills to assist in promoting it. We were given this same artwork and asked to print it in a large format adhesive back vinyl format. We always enjoy printing Shepard’s artwork and this job was no different from the norm. The color and quality came out exceptional and, in the spirit of what the print is promoting, it all got done by the power of the sun thanks to our array of solar panels on top of our building.obey-1.jpg

Hangar 24 Craft Brewery Wood Signs

July 24th, 2009 by Jon

After seeing the samples we sent to them a little while ago the people at Hangar 24 Craft Brewery couldn’t wait to get their order in for their signs. We ended up printing three different sizes on the digital flatbed printer and cut them all out on our larger format CNC router. The result was a lot of wood piling up in our warehouse, all digitally printed on with the Hangar 24 Craft Brewery Orange Wheat artwork. This job was really fun to see getting finished so I grabbed a few of the completed pieces while they were still cutting the rest and snapped some photos to share.hangar24-1.jpghangar24-2.jpghangar24-3.jpghangar24-4.jpghangar24-5.jpghangar24-6.jpg

FBI Boxtruck Vehicle Wrap

July 24th, 2009 by Jon

The FBI in San Diego decided a little while ago that they wanted to make their plain white boxtruck into something that would cause all the other departments to be jealous of. So they ask us to mock up some designs, picked one and asked us to wrap the whole thing. And although no longer has an ounce of covertness left in it, it is now an eye-catching vehicle that will let everyone who sees it know who is in the neighborhood.fbi-1.jpgfbi-3.jpgfbi-2.jpg

Sambazon Menu Board

July 21st, 2009 by Jon

We proudly print all of Sambazon’s point of purchase materials in house here at Monster Media. Menu boards and similar signage constantly pass through here for the well known acai berry juice company. The fun thing about printing Sambazon is that we can always count on them to give us nice bright materials to show off our color skills on. The menu board below was printed directly to the substrate via our large format digital flatbed printer.sambazon-11.jpgsambazon-21.jpg

Carl Zeiss Astronaut Ultra Smooth Banner

July 16th, 2009 by Jon

Carl Zeiss has been a consistent client of ours for some time now. Mostly we do their POP prints for their prescription lenses used in glasses but recently we got an order for a large astronaut print. We did the job on our Ultra Smooth Banner material that has the durability of our standard banner material but the smoothness of a much finer texture. The finished print was then stretched and wrapped around a canvas frame giving it a fine art feel to it.nasa-1.jpg

ASG Volcom Banner

July 15th, 2009 by Jon

The Volcom Entertainment rock band, ASG, had us print out an extremely large vinyl banner of the album cover to their latest album, Win Us Over. This banner is an excellent example of really how big we we are willing and able to go with our grand format printing. The colors came out great and the final product looked amazing close up and far away. I had to climb on a ladder just to get high enough to take a pic of the whole banner on this job.asg-1.jpg

Scott Morse Pixar ComiCon Banners

July 13th, 2009 by Jon

With ComiCon San Diego coming up in the next couple of weeks we usually get a few orders for banners to be used at the convention. Scott Morse, an artist at Pixar, gave us some of his artwork for banners to hang at his booth and I wanted to share how the final prints came out. We printed everything here at Monster Media, good or bad art, but it is always much more enjoyable when we get to print some genuinely cool graphics and these banners are great examples of exactly that.morse-22.jpgmorse-3.jpgmorse-4.jpg
