Gold Medal 3-D Indoor Sign

May 21st, 2010 by danny

Gold Medal Martial Arts had us print and install their new 3-D logo on gator board inside their new location. We mounted it with stand offs so not only would the artwork look 3-D but the physical sign itself sits a couple inches off the wall giving it a real 3-D look. The sign was printed and mounted to gator board, and then cut to shape on our router. Below are some photos of the installation.

Monster Media Inc. Front Office Window

November 24th, 2009 by Jon

We have had the same decal artwork on our front office window for almost five years now so we decided to start working on a facelift for the ‘ol Monster Media front entrance. Since we were going to be redoing the whole thing we decided to include our sister company, Zebra Kick, in the project and give them some window space as well since they share the building with us. The installers just got done today putting the decals up so I grabbed some pics of them working on it as well as a finished look at the new Monster Media front office. All the artwork was designed and printed here at Monster Media and custom cutout out with our vinyl router.frontwindow_001.jpgfrontwindow_002.jpgfrontwindow_003.jpgfrontwindow_004.jpgfrontwindow_005.jpgfrontwindow_006.jpgfrontwindow_007.jpg

Metal Mulisha CNC Cutout Sign

October 22nd, 2009 by Jon

New and useful applications for our large format CNC router are going through our doors daily. Today we finished the final touches on a sign for Metal Mulisha with a print on our hp designjet printer then mounted it to some gator board and cut it out to shape with our CNC router. The whole things completed looks so much more dynamic and eye popping than a generic sign printed and left in a standard rectangular shape. We are always happy to help companies and clients of ours with new and innovative solutions to their marketing and advertising needs with all of their large format prints.mulisha_001.jpg

Lifesize Cutout

October 21st, 2009 by Jon

One of the fun applications that is available to be used by our machines here at Monster Media is the fabrication of lifesize custom cutouts. With our high quality large format digital printers and our large format CNC router we can print pristine images and cut them out with extreme accuracy to give a final product that will even fool the eye for a moment or two.cutout_001.jpg

Custom Wooden Table: In Progress

October 12th, 2009 by Jon

Due to the success of our tables we showcased at the Sea No Evil Art Show for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society we have been working nonstop on a whole new series of wooden tables custom made here at our warehouse. Thanks to our CNC Router we are able to cut any shape we want quickly and precisely out of our FCC certified wood we use. This latest table is a perfect example of the intricacy of cuts we can do. We have not printed on this one yet so here are some pics of the raw materials we have so far.table_001.jpgtable_002.jpg

Dinosaur Bed

October 2nd, 2009 by Jon

Derric, the king of “I Have An Idea,” recently decided that if we can make tables at Monster Media with our flatbed printer and CNC router we can surely make beds. And if we can make beds then we can surely make a child’s bed. And if we can surely make a child’s bed we can make a custom child’s bed. And if we are going to make a child’s custom bed why don’t we start off with one for Dash, Derric’s four year old son, and make it in the likeness of one of his favorite things right now, a dinosaur? So, we did. This is a completely custom designed dinosaur bed, with detailed routing around the edges thanks to our large format CNC router and artwork printed directly to the wood thanks to our Digital Flatbed Printer. We have nailed it all together yet or thrown a mattress on it but we are so excited at how it turned out we went ahead and mocked it up on some two-by-fours and took some pics to share around. Check it out!bed_002.jpgbed_001.jpgbed_003.jpg

CNC Custom Furniture

August 5th, 2009 by Jon

Derric, the owner of Monster Media Inc, comes into the office a few weeks back saying “I got an idea!” which usually just means he thought up his “project of the week” and wants me, the designer, to get right on it. However, this time his idea was a little different than the normal “design” job he normally concocts up. Derric had this crazy notion that we could make custom cut furniture using just a 4′x8′ piece of wood and our large format CNC router. The crazy thing is that as of today that idea has actually come to fruition. With the help of Chris Aultman, the pilot from Animal Planet’s Whale Wars (I know, random right?) and my adobe illustrator skills we were able to cut out a simple 2-D shape design that when put together actually creates a 3-D piece of furniture. The piece isn’t done yet so this is a work in progress. We are still deciding on the final configuration and we of course plan on printing on it with our digital flatbed printer so stay tuned for more on this adventure.table-1.jpgtable-2.jpgtable-31.jpgtable-41.jpgtable-5.jpgtable-7.jpgtable-8.jpg

Hangar 24 Craft Brewery Wood Signs

July 24th, 2009 by Jon

After seeing the samples we sent to them a little while ago the people at Hangar 24 Craft Brewery couldn’t wait to get their order in for their signs. We ended up printing three different sizes on the digital flatbed printer and cut them all out on our larger format CNC router. The result was a lot of wood piling up in our warehouse, all digitally printed on with the Hangar 24 Craft Brewery Orange Wheat artwork. This job was really fun to see getting finished so I grabbed a few of the completed pieces while they were still cutting the rest and snapped some photos to share.hangar24-1.jpghangar24-2.jpghangar24-3.jpghangar24-4.jpghangar24-5.jpghangar24-6.jpg

Sambazon Rob & Bob

July 6th, 2009 by Jon

Monster Media has had a long upstanding relationship with the beverage company Sambazon. One of our latest jobs with them is just at the end of being finished so I grabbed some shots to show off how cool it turned out. We printed some near lifesize prints of Bob Burnquist and Rob Machado with our HP Designjet L65500 on some billboard paper, mounted it to some of our thinner bioboard and then cut the whole thing out to shape with our large format cnc router to make custom cut standups for Sambazons advertising campaign.sambazon-1.jpgsambazon-2.jpgsambazon-5.jpgsambazon-3.jpgsambazon-4.jpgsambazon-6.jpgsambazon-7.jpg

Fuel TV Stencils

June 5th, 2009 by Jon

A recent popular request from a number of our clients have been custom stencils cut out of a few miscellaneous materials we offer. One of the most recent instances of this new fad came from one of our newest clients, FUEL TV. We cut the material out of some of our thin expanded pvc and the finished stencils looked great.
